okay okay.. so procrastination will be top on my resolution list! 🙂
no worries- I have been happily getting started on them regardless
So here is a glimpse on what my 27th year will bring for me…
-embrace all the new opportunities in the next couple of months (new jobs, home, baby.. jk!, and all fun things ahead!
– take time to appreciate everything in my life- aka be grateful
– strive for completion rather than perfection….don’t over-analyze so much
– always smile and look at the positives vs negative
– volunteer and get more involved in community
– grow herbs
– send snail mail
– drink at least 8 glasses of water daily
– expose palate to more wine varietals/ join a wine club
– cook more and eat less
– relearn how to drive a manual car
– roll a kayak
– start to hike the 14’ers in CO
– continue to build Spanish skills
– practice random acts of kindness
– take a trip with my 2 really cool friends- open to suggestions!
SAweet! i really agree w/ your build your spanish skillZ…all you’ve ever said to me is me llamo kristo…
i really also need to focus on completion over perfection. DAH so hard.
haha to “aka be greatful.”
alright nice! now ours are all out there! hows everyone’s going?
over here:
-sitting up straight is HARD to do 24/7. but still trying. standing desk helps.
-looking at chicago running groups online that would fit ma style.
-slowly but surely getting better at scheduling & time management. -i have 3 days to finish 2 books…1 for my book i didn’t read last mo. and 1 book for my book i didn’t read this month…wish me luck.
-so to add more to the cook more eat less…feel free to pin or send me any yummy recipes that i better try. Has anyone tried avocado in replacement of butter for cookies??? i will let you know how they go!
-i now make sure to bring my water bottle to school.. seriously such an easy thing to do but I still struggle at drinking enough water during the day!
– lyss, i better sit up straight with you. i already feel myself getting a hunchback
i love the list and the updates! perfect timing kristo, i just gave pat a map to long’s peak, our first 14er sometime this spring/summer! if youre here, come with! I’ve done apple sauce as a replacement for butter in cookies, was good! In that news, I’m going to try vegan, fully committed, for the next three months, starting next monday. It was one of my goals, so we’ll see! I’m super into La Croix waters, an easy and fun way to get water in! How was the book reading Lyssa? Any luck … or did Bachelor get in the way of that!? also, one of the goals was to run a smart marathon, think im on the way to that! step one, get in!!! success. step two, stronger me, working on that …
did you both know that i love the blog (and check it daily) even though i cant update as much at this job? cause i do.
love yous!
what’s on the weekend agenda? pat and i are hopefully heading up to the mtns and renting a place fri and sat night! and skiing!! seriously obsessed with my new skis!! can’t wait to ski with you two. we’re perfecting the picnic in the back of the car (with yard chairs, duh) during lunch time on ski days! sooo much cheaper and fun cause its a picnic duh! we forgot cider/beer/bloody last time, so this weekend we’ll be better. also lyss, mid day bloodys are another ski tradition / must. SO fun.
i agree with blog love. still the best idea lyss ever had! i have been enjoying reading the old posts and seeing what we posted!
i secretly checked it today at work on my phone.:)
i hate that i even got into the Bachelor- Lyss has probably been doing her reading with trying to figure out how to apply for the bachelor 😉 or maybe that’s me?? ( i want all those the fun dates for free)
I’m excited for the rest of my week… at my favorite school and then wine expo and downtown hotel stay with Jon. Also going to try to go skiing with my cousins… not quite CO rockies but those MN hills do bring back happy memories of us cruising down the hills and playing cards in the chalet. Can’t wait when we can all have a picnic and go skiing together. Until then, you better drink a cider (or three) for me!
Enjoy the rest of your night/day ladies!!!! love you lots
book reading- i think i know my prob. i’ve been trying to read the hunger games, which as you know, such a boring book…just can’t get through it! kidding! haha. but i did see the movie so it’s not a page turner. (never seeing movie before reading again!) which is why i decided yesterday to start catching fire, now i’m reading away! but still won’t make deadline. so that means 3 books for march! or i’ll just read the giving tree & james and the giant peach real quick, BAM 2 books done.
haha prrrrreeeetty sure i know how to apply to the bachelor, kristo. i really want to go on bachelor w/ bill, and we win bc we fun.
you can do it jackie, i always thought you were good at being vegan! never thought you stopped?!
i would say i’m jealous of all this skiing going on, but it just makes me outta-the-world excited for the next time! + happy you, jackie, are fully enjoying mtn time. HAVE FUN this weekend both of you! weekend getaways with your boos, auh yeah! picnic time! idea! maybe we’ll picnic somehow somewhere this weekend, HMMM. i honestly can’t remember what we talked about doing this weekend…something? this cold is getting to my brain. oh i know! the place i was gonna take kris but didn’t, brew & view @ the vic- where you watch an older movie w/ beer (they have a bar) & can order food into the theater.
